Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Back-End API Developer with 3-7 years of experience in Laravel and strong expertise in database management, real-time communication (Sockets), and third-party API integrations (Shopify, Wix, etc.). The ideal candidate should have experience designing and implementing scalable architectures for high-traffic applications, optimizing database performance, and working within modern microservices or modular monolithic architectures.

You’ll be expected to do the following:
- Work as part of a driven team to create new features, debug and troubleshoot existing ones.
- Work closely with other developers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
- Building, brainstorming, experimenting, and iterating on exciting features that enrich the experiences of our users.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 4 -5 years of development experience with Laravel. Deep expertise in Laravel’s ecosystem, including Eloquent ORM, Middleware, Service Providers, Policies, Gates, and Custom Commands.
- Good experience with Node.js and WebSockets & Real-Time Data: Proficiency in Pusher, Laravel Echo, or Socket.io.
- Databases: Strong SQL skills, indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, and JSON-based queries in MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- MongoDB: Experience with NoSQL design principles and aggregation pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of AWS
- Third-Party APIs: Experience integrating Shopify, Wix, Stripe, Twilio, and others
- Queues & Background Jobs: Hands-on experience with Redis queues, Horizon, and event broadcasting.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, CSRF protection, SQL injection prevention, and XSS handling.
- GIT & DevOps: Experience with Git workflows, Docker (optional), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Testing: Experience with PHPUnit, Pest, API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia), and mocking services.
